Alternative energy vehicles: Popularity and advantages of hybrid vehicles.

 

Nowadays there are a lot of things which damage our nature and affect on us. There are toxic  gases which produced by the factory, cars and etc. Because of this problem and high oil prices, development of alternative energy was the only and the best way out. So that in 1990’s started building factories for the production of electric cars. Cars – which change the future for the better.

The process of implementation of hybrid cars is slow but not slowing down. As shown in figure 10 in 2000 there were only 73 hybrid vehicles in Hawaii. After two years these cars were 4.5 times more. In 2004 the state of hybrid vehicles totaled 1,161. During the next 3 years cars become more popular, what proves the approximately 5500 cars in Hawaii. In 2010 were registered 9,217 hybrid vehicles.

In figure 9 there are top 5 hybrid markets in the world for 2006. In the end of this top is France, little bit higher Canada with 3,964 cars. Then goes UK. And here a noticeable difference, a big increase in vehicles in Japan (28,791). But a leader in sales is the USA, compared to other countries in the U.S. sold a lot of cars (144,377), this is almost half of all hybrid vehicles which was sold in 2006. In the second column “Top 5 US hybrid markets”. In the list the lowest figure in Boston, about 4500. But this is much higher than in France or Canada. The next city is capital of the USA, in Washington there are 8,092 hybrid vehicles. Then goes New York with 9,744 registered cars. San Francisco has a lot of  hybrid vehicles than other big cities, total 13,461. And at the peak of this column is Los Angeles, approximately 20,772 vehicles. Totally in 2006 was sold 349,063 hybrid vehicles.

As for the comparison between hybrid car and traditional vehicle. Certainly alternative energy car has more advantages than the other one. The main advantages are economical exploitation, environmental cleanliness also preservation and re-use energy. Lower consumption of hydrocarbon fuels has improved and made more clean environment. At stops engine automatically stops operating which is useful in big cities. Also achieved something that the engineers have long tried to do. This preservation and re-use of energy.

Environmentalists believe that traditional vehicles are the main source of air pollution in big cities. Therefore, the cars cause the two main trouble for any metropolis: jams and smog.

At the moment, there are a few vehicles with a hybrid engine. Sales leader is the Toyota Prius, this car is the first hybrid car of mass production. To completely implement the hybrid cars need to develop infrastructure and technology.

Alternative energy vehicles are not fully understood, it will take several more years. However, the results which have achieved by engineers are amazing. Hybrid cars are a unique way out of several situations, such as pollution, the high oil prices.
